EXECUTION OF STUDENT COUNSELLING PLAN

Dr. Hamad Al-Qamizi-Dean of the Student Affairs Deanship- stated that the Deanship at the University has started implementing the Student Counseling Center plans of the Male and Female sections for the academic year 1437/1438 throughout all colleges of the University.

“The Center is well-supported by the University Rector and the vice-rector for Academic Affairs in addition to the follow up of the college deans on campus due to its significant role in higher education.” Dr. Qamizi Said.

“The Center is divided into two sections; the male one is headed by Dr. Abdul-Hameed Hajj and the female section is headed by Dr. Nora Al-Suwyan.” Dr. Qamizi pointed out.

The Center offers several regular social and psychological activities matching the needs of the University students all around campus in coordination with the Student Activity Units in all colleges.

Dr. Qamizi declared that the Center’s plan had been distributed to all academic counseling units at the colleges of the University whereas communication between students and units could be coordinated properly for the benefit of students.

“The activities should be implemented in each college for the development of its students, Dr. Qamizi added.

The dean has also urged students to take part in the activities of the center such as lectures, seminars, training courses and academic counseling services in order to improve themselves at both the social and academic levels.

“I would like to thank Dr. Hajj and Dr. Suwyan for their efforts in the Center aiming at achieving social and psychological stability of students on campus,” Dr. Qamizi concluded.
