Almajmaah University, represented by Deanship of Student Affairs, took part in the first workshop for coordinators of peace messengers in scouting sectors. The workshop was held in Saudi Scouts Society in Riyadh and chaired by His Highness Prince Faisal Abdullah Mohammed Al Saud, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Saudi Scouts Society. In fact, Vice Dean of Student Affairs for student activities and the coordinator of Peace Messengers project at a university Mr . Khalid Ibrahim Alafaisan represented Almajmaah University in the workshop.
This workshop started as participants began registering their names. Then, the official opening commenced with the speech of peace messengers' commissioner for Saudi Scouts Association Mr. Jamil Mohammed Fallatah. Afterwards, the speech of Vice President of Saudi Scout Association was delivered, and he reviewed the scouting peace history beginning with the Gift of Peace that more than ten million participated in. In fact, the project of peace messengers has been appreciated by all scouting associations and it is considered the most comprehensive program among all international programs. Then, participants moved from scouting sectors to working sites, and were divided into groups according to regions and provinces. The groups worked on a timetable in accordance with the abilities of each sector and the schedules. These schedules included patient visitations, environment protection, houses renovation and distribution of food baskets.
Mr. Khalid Alafaisan, the coordinator of peace in Almajmaah University, indicated that the university, under the auspicious of Dr. Khalid Saad Almuqrin gives the project of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques of Peace Messengers special attention. Under the patronage of His Excellency the University Rector, the University hosted two workshops entitled: "Strategy of Peace Messengers" and "Projects of Peace Messengers: Reality and Hopes " last year in the University City. In each workshop, almost forty people, who belong to the international scouting delegation for this project, participated. These people are international scouting personages who have played a key role in Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' project "Peace Messengers". They come from different sixteen foreign countries. In addition to that, there were some other workshops and programs associated with the environment project that was hosted by the university. With regards to Peace Messengers project, Almajmaah University participated, under the support of His Excellency University Rector, in the first session of the Peace Messengers held in Britain last summer. Also, Deanship of Student Affairs received the Singaporean delegation that took part in the dialogue course of Peace Messengers in Riyadh, and gave them a tour in the University City that included a meeting with Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Hamad Abdullah Alghemaizi, vice Deans and Dean of Faculty of Business Administration. In the end, Mr. Alafaisan, coordinator of Peace Messengers project at the University, offered his thanks and appreciation to the University Rector for his support of student activities at the university and his concerns and constant follow-up for the project of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques "Messengers of Peace".
