His Excellency the Rector, Dr. Khalid bin Saad al Muqrin, opened the Second Forum for Educational Affairs, which was organized by Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs under the title " Academic Affairs: Achievements and Aspirations" in the presence of His Excellency the Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Research and the Supervisor of the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Shaya, Deans of Colleges, Supporting Deanships, Vice Deans of Colleges for Academic Affairs, Heads of Department , Heads of Quality Centers, and a number of faculty members.
The forum has targeted to familiarize the participants with the evidence and plans prepared by the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs on the purpose of developing the Educational Process at the university, as well as the inauguration of the website of Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs, and the inauguration of the Strategic Plan of the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs. It has also targeted the exchange of experiences and views between the management of Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs, and all employees of the university of chairmen and faculty members. The forum has discussed a number of important themes such as the strategic planning for university education, the mechanisms to prepare and develop study plans at universities, quality of assessments in the university education, case of external cooperation, and the extra hours in the educational programs. In addition to, discuss the mechanisms to deal with student cases and mechanisms of developing the academic programs. His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Shaya, displayed the achievements of the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs within the Strategic Plan of Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs 33/1436 H, a guide to the preparation and adoption of study plans, a guide of tests quality , a guide of specialties, organizational structure, procedural guide for the implementation of educational programs, procedural guide of world cooperation for teaching, Procedural guide for extra hours application, and technical report of the study plan.
Then his Excellency the Rector, Dr. Khaled bin Saad al Muqrin inaugurated the website of the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs and its strategic plan. During the forum , a program of two sessions with seven working papers about two subjects came on the stage, the first session was under the title (Academic Affairs, Plans and Mechanisms); which was consisting of three working papers such as: Strategic Planning for University Education, presented by ( Dr. Mustafa Al Farmawi), Mechanisms to Prepare and Develop Study Plans at Universities, presented by(Dr. Abdul Rahman al-Qawasmi), and the third paper was about the Case of world Cooperation for teaching in the Educational programs, presented by (Dr. Fahd Al Jadua). The second session entitled (Assessment Quality and Academic Programs), which included four working papers, the first one was about The Quality of Assessment Process in the University Education, provided by ( Dr. Mustafa Faramawi), Procedures of Extra Hours Application, presented by ( Mr. Fares bin Saleh Al Faris), Mechanisms of Developing Academic Programs, presented by ( Dr.Abdul Rahman Al Qawasmi), and the last paper was about work procedures in the list of disciplining students at Majmaah University, presented by (Dr. Hamad bin Abdullah Al Ghomaizy). At the end of the forum, his Excellency the Rector, Dr. Khaled bin Saad al Muqrin, expressed in his speech his happiness with these scientific achievements which were accomplished by the team of the Vice Presidency during short period of time did not exceed five months, as well as his appreciation for this distinctive organization of the forum and the teamwork; which is characterized by the employees of the university in all places, and that was reflected in this quick successive development which was achieved by the university in all areas. His Excellency expressed his hope that this forum comes out via these worksheets that will be discussed and dialogue sessions with effective recommendations to develop the educational affairs at the university. His Excellency also expressed his happiness by putting the Vice Presidency guides for dialogue and debate for permanent development. Finally, His Excellency honored the participants in the forum of worksheets' presenters and wished all success in his career. The activities of the forum were provided by the student Abdullah Al Saeed, Faculty of Education, and the reciter of Holy Quran the student Abdullah Al-Tuwaijri, College of Business Administration.
