The College of Medicine and King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah were honored by the visit of a delegation of Saudi Scientific Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation (SSBMT).
The delegation was welcomed by the Director of the Hospital, Mr. Abdullah Al-Bakheet who expressed his gratitude with this visit.
The visit aims to serve the community and raise the level of health awareness.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Asker, Director of SSBMT, delivered a speech at the conference hall in the hospital, attended by many students and faculty members. The speech aimed primarily to highlight the major works carried out by SSBMT to improve the health of society including scientific researches, seminars, workshops.
The delegation toured the emergency and abdominal departments and tissue lab to discuss about some cases and exchange experience on how to get them treated.
The SSBMT has proposed several suggestions to open the door for cooperation with the hospital including but limited to a monthly visit by a physician from SSBMT to the hospital to offer medical consultations, create a database for patients to improve the research in blood and marrow transplantation.
