4TH FORUM OF SHEIKH AL-TWEIJRI’S RESEARCH CHAIR FOR STROKE HELD AT MU

 

 

The research chair of Sheikh Abdullah A. Al-Tweijri for stroke cases at Majmaah University held the fourth forum under the patronage of Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren MU Rector and the presence of vice-rectors and deans including His Excellency Eng. Abdul Aziz M. Al-Tweijri, Dr. Thamer Al-Harbi, Dean of Scientific Research and Director of Research Chairs and Mr. Ahmed Al-Tweijri, son of Sheikh Al-Tweijri. The forum began with a beautiful recitation of Holy Koran followed by a speech for Dr. Raed S. Al-Barad’i, supervisor of the chair, where he emphasized the role of the chair since its establishment in providing several vital researches of paramount significance for patients in the field of stroke. The chair also won several awards locally and globally and was granted a patent, added Dr. Al-Barad’I reiterate the strong determination of the chair to contribute in achieving the strategic plan of the University. A documentary film was screened introducing how the chair was set out and the several services provided to the public. It also showed the major achievements of the chair such as the device for measuring hemoglobin and cholesterol in blood. Addressing the audience in a speech, Eng. Al-Tweijri, said that the selection of this particular chair to be funded is attributed to statistical information that shows the importance of this field. Eng. Al-Tweijri expressed his appreciation to the Rector and all members of the chair for their efforts and dedication. MU Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren gave a speech where he expressed his gratitude with this achievement which contributes in fulfilling one the University’s primary objectives. Dr. Al-Mugren presented a memorial shield and a device for measuring cholesterol in blood to Mr. Ahmed Al-Tweijri.
