MU ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORY: A NATIONAL INITIATIVE

The MU Astronomical Observatory was established in Hawtat Sudair based on an order from MU Rector. The formation of the Observatory – launched in 25th Safar, 1436 - was based on a specialized committee that took into consideration the scientific, administrative and technical aspects of the AO.
The aims of the Observatory is promote scientific researches in the field of astronomy with various bodies locally and internationally. The AO also observes astronomical phenomena such as eclipse, crescent sight, shooting star.
