SYLLABUS DEVELOPMENT LECTURE

Based on an invitation by the quality center in the Engineering College, the Dean of Engineering College Dr. Mohammad Al-Salamah presented a seminar titled “Syllabus Development”. The seminar was attended by His Excellency the deputy-dean Dr. Tawfeeq Al-Kanhal and a number of faculty members.
The seminar included a detailed explanation of a new developed model of syllabus description. It also linked between the relation of the syllabus contents and the purpose of teaching them. He also gave a suggested plan of the distribution of the class room session in accordance with syllabus during the academic year. He also made a reference to the education outcomes and its relation to syllabus development. Eventually, he shed a light on the mid-semester exams and the suggested time for conducting them.
