At the request of MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal, the Innovation and Sustainability Hackathon was launched under the patronage of the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shehri.
The hackathon aims to foster the field of research, development and innovation, by addressing four main categories: human health, basic needs and sustainability, leadership in energy and industry, and future economies.
In his speech to the university's innovators, the Vice-Rector pointed out that the field of innovation and entrepreneurship enjoys strong support from the government, see as a bright future for young people to easily integrate into national development projects.
The head of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Mutairi, indicated that this competition contributes to creating an entrepreneurial and stimulating environment for the university community and the local community, and contributes to the development of a promising generation capable of playing an effective role in leading pioneering national projects.
This hackathon reflects the university’s commitment to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, and creating a supportive environment for students to transform their ideas into innovative projects that serve the community and contribute to national development.
