The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship participated in the 25th Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO 2025), hosted by King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran. The event brought together 240 students from 30 countries and more than 100 international experts under the theme “Together, We Generate the Energy of the Future,” in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the MOWHIBA Foundation.
Dr. Abdulaziz Dakheel Al-Mutairi, Head of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, explained that this participation offers a valuable opportunity to deepen understanding of how to organize such major events and to build effective communication channels with local and international organizations. He added that the center aims to activate partnerships and initiatives that create a stimulating university environment for innovation and empower students to engage in competitive and inspiring learning experiences.
This participation reflects the university’s commitment to learning from pioneering experiences in hosting and organizing international scientific events, and to recognizing national efforts to support and empower innovation in scientific fields, especially physics and basic sciences. This contributes to enhancing the university’s role in supporting the knowledge economy and technology entrepreneurship.
