MU COORDINATORS ARE READY TO DEAL WITH THE NATIONAL VOLUNTEER PORTAL

The Volunteer Center at the Social Responsibility Observatory has completed training the university coordinators on how to deal with the National Volunteer Portal launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD).

Coordinators were granted usernames and passwords, and they received a training on how to deal with the portal starting from formulating a volunteer opportunity, hours of volunteering and ending with how to upload it on the portal and follow-up its implementation.

Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, the vice-rector, pointed out that the fundamental procedure of establishing volunteer works at MU is underway. To meet the indicator of volunteering at MU, all the university staff should be allowed to engage in volunteering in their respect fields.

MU has made a considerable progress in the field of volunteering on the National Volunteer Portal with a total of 100 hours of volunteer; more than 2000 people who volunteered; and approximately 900 volunteer opportunities.
