The Vice-Rector launches a volunteer workshop for coordinators

Under the patronage of the Vice-Rector for Development and Investment, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, the Volunteer Work Center at the Social Responsibility Observatory held a workshop for the coordinators as part of the university's pursuit to activate volunteer work.

The workshop introduced the Volunteer Work Center at the university and addressed a number of topics including : explaining the mechanisms for activating the volunteer work platform and how to create new volunteer opportunities and the terms that should be taken into account with volunteer opportunities.

Prof. Al-Dosari, the Vice-Rector, talked about the importance of volunteer work and to register volunteer opportunities to increase the rate of volunteering in the Kingdom.

The Supervisor of the Social Responsibility Observatory and the university’s representative in the National Volunteer Work Platform, Prof. Faisal Al-Mutairi, spoke about the mechanism for creating new and innovative volunteer opportunities and the impact on the practices of individuals and entities towards volunteering, stressing the necessity of promoting the awareness and education  about volunteering.

Mr. Nasser Al-Thubaiti addressed the mechanisms of submitting opportunities and how to create new volunteer opportunities that are compatible with the entities providing the opportunities. He gave examples from the experiences of some entities inside and outside the university in this field. He also explained the conditions that the entity must take into account when submitting volunteer opportunities. The workshop concluded by a Q&A session.
