The Social Responsibility Observatory, represented by the Community Service Department, held a symposium entitled: "Violence against Women between Reality and Law" on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The symposium was presented by Dr. Samia Al-Zahrani, Assistant Professor of Law at the College of Sharia and Law, and Ms. Shaima Bouqs, Lecturer at the College of Sharia and Law.
The symposium featured different topics including defining the violence against women and its various forms, the role of the family and society in preventing violence against women, the role of Saudi systems to protect women such as the protection and abuse system, the psychological and social dimensions, the economic and social impact of violence against women, and means of prevention, support and protection for women against violence.
