MAJMAAH UNIVERSITY PARTICIPATES IN THE INTERNATIONAL ANTI-CORRUPTION CONFERENCE

Under the directive of the Rector, and within the University's interest in the efforts of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Dr. Sa'ad Bin Zaar Al Qahtani, the Director of the General Department for Planning & Administrative Development participated in the International Anti-Corruption Conference. The conference was held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz - may Allah guide and protect him - in King Faisal's Conference Hall in Riyadh under the banner of "Anti-Corruption .. Everyone's Responsibility". The conference was commenced with the recitation of verses from the Glorious Quran, followed by a speech from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz's speech - may Allah guide and protect him , which was delivered on his behalf by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Bandar, Prince of Riyadh region, in which he stressed that Saudi Arabia has initiated the development and application of regulations to protect the integrity and anti-corruption, including the adoption of a national strategy , and the establishment of an independent specialized commission. The conference focused on several matters including: - Anti-Corruption efforts and promoting integrity in the Kingdom. - The features of the national anti-corruption strategy and implementation mechanisms. - The roles of the National Anti-Corruption Commission and ways of strengthening them. - National, regional and international anti-corruption institutions and commissions that promote integrity. Dr. Sa'ad Bin Zaar Al Qahtani, the Director of the General Department for Planning & Administrative Development, and who attended the conference with the directive of Rector, also explained that Majmaah University is one of the government sectors that seek continious cooperation through its leadership in the Anti-Corruption Commission "integrity" by concentrating on preparing reports and institutional studies in this area. The General Department for Planning & Administrative Development prepared within one year three reports on the University's efforts in the fight against corruption, in addition to preparing a study on employees' wrongdoings and ways to reduce them. It also performed many polls for general satisfaction with the workplace environment, and founded an integrity Club in the University.
