A delegation of advisors from the National Center for Assessment and Academic Accreditation (NCAAA) headed by the executive director, Dr. Saleh Al-Ghamdi, visited MU to sign new contracts for conducting assessment of some academic programs: 6 undergraduates and 2 postgraduates.

A rhetorical ceremony was held in the presence of MU rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren, vice-rectors and deans, and began by a speech delivered by the vice-rector for educational affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Obudi, who pointed out that the university success in obtaining academic accreditations and many ISO certificates would not have been achieved had it not been the support of MU rector, vice-rectors and the university staff.

Dr. Al-Obudi added that the university sees these accreditations not an end in themselves but a means to make the culture of quality daily practices.

Dr. Al-Ghamdi commended the university concern of quality requirements which helped in obtaining both accreditations: institutional and program-based.

Despite it was founded recently, the university has managed to be designated as the first newly established university to obtain the institutional accreditation, added Al-Ghamdi.

Addressing the audience, MU rector talked about quality as one of other means to improve education and its outcomes. The government has placed education at the forefront of its interests, and the university leaders and staff have collectively utilized that to lead the university towards excellence, added Dr. Al-Muqren.

MU rector also commended the pivotal role played earlier by both Dr. Mohammed Al-Rukban and Dr. Khalid Al-Jarallah as well as the current efforts exerted by Dr. Mohammed Al-Obudi.
