MU RECTOR LAUNCHES AN AUTOMATION SYSTEM FOR EXAMINATION COMMITTEES AT APPLIED COLLEGE

Dr. Saleh Al-Mizil, MU rector, conducted a field visit to the examination halls and central examination committee office at the College of Applied Sciences. Accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Mohammed Al-Oboudi,  the rector was received by the College's CEO, Dr. Shadi Al-Shuwaier, the Vice of CEO, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Araifi, and the Executive Director of the College's main campus (students section), Dr. Saad Al-Hajooj, along with the members of the college's examination committee.

During the visit, MU rector listened to a detailed explanation about the nature of work done by the Central Examination Committee at the College, and the role it plays in unifying the practices and tasks related to examination committees across the various branches of the College of Applied Sciences. He was also briefed on the monitoring and documentation mechanisms for the work of those committees, as well as the committee's administrative and supervisory tasks for the smooth conduct of examinations at the main campus in Majmaah (students section).

Dr. Ibrahim Al-Araifi, explained the examination management procedures go through three stages: the receiving and delivery stage, form-filling stage, and the coordination and follow-up stage. He further highlighted that these stages regulate the examination process, starting from receiving the exam question copies from faculty members, delivering them to the invigilators, and documenting the examination, including the necessary monitoring and coordination measures to ensure the integrity and quality of the final examinations.

MU rector launch the system which includes creating examination-related templates and sending them to the faculty members via email. It also encompasses a monitoring and documentation system for the examination committees across the various branches of the College in Al-Majma'ah, Al-Zulfi, and Rumah, as well as an electronic archiving system for examination documents after the grading process is completed.

Dr. Al-Shuwayer explained how these systems function which aims to save time and effort for faculty members in preparing examination templates and implementing monitoring and documentation procedures for the examination committees in all branches of the College.
