CIFAL SAUDI ARABIA HOLDS ITS SECOND BOARD MEETING

The second board meeting of CIFAL Saudi Arabia was head by MU's rector and chairman, Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal, on Tuesday, January, 23rd, 2024, in the presence of board members, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, Mr. Ajlan Al-Ajlan, Ambassador Dr. Luis Gallegos, Mr. Alexander Mekhia, Dr. Wafa Al-Tuwaijri, Eng. Mustafa Al-Shehri, and Dr. Ayman Al-Barakati (director of CIFAL Saudi Arabia). 

The meeting addressed the agenda which features several topics related to the achievements and the progress being made to the center's performance.  

New strategies should be set to improve the quality of the training programs provided by the Center and to expand the scope of international cooperation to consolidate the center's reputation as a pioneer in its field.

The meeting's recommendations focused on adopting innovative methods in management and operation, strengthening international partnerships to achieve best practices, and the importance of regular evaluation to improve the center's performance.

It is worth noting that CIFAL Saudi Arabia was set up as a result of a partnership initiative between Majmaah University and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), and seeks to improve the performance of public officials and civil society leaders, empowering them to achieve SDGs locally and globally.
