RIYADH GOVERNOR PATRONIZES MU'S GRADUATION CEREMONY

Under the patronage of Riyadh Governor, Prince Faisal Al-Saud, MU held on Thursday the 15th graduation ceremony for the academic year 1445, in the presence of MU rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal, vice-rectors, directors of public sectors, deans and students' guardians.  

Addressing the audience, MU rector, Prof. Al-Mezal, delivered a welcoming speech honoring the sponsor of the ceremony whose presence reflects the support of the country's leadership to education. Prof. Al-Mezal also congratulated graduates, hoping they would play an integral role in pushing forward the development in this country. 

Congratulating students on their graduation, the rector said that this occasion is a significant stage in students' life as they reap their efforts over the past years. We are proud of their success, and we will pursue our in this path to align with the programs of the Kingdom's vision 2030.

The rector highlighted how the government is supporting education in this country, pointing out the several achievements of the university over the past months in multiple fields including: completion of the construction phase of the university's hotel, the establishment of a petrol station, approval of the Green University City initiative for 2 years, completion of all study programs and plans, establishment of two colleges: Sharia and Law in Ghat and Nursing in Hawtat Sudair, and having more than 22 master programs.

The university, added the rector, also organized three international conferences during this year. 

Dr. Nasser Al-Othman, the Dean of Admissions and Registration, pointed out, in a speech, that a total of 5157 students, both male and female, graduated with bachelor's and master's degrees from various colleges and departments of the university.

A word of encouragement was conveyed to graduates followed by expressing gratitude to their parents and faculty members for supporting them during this journey. 

On behalf of all graduates, Nasser Al-Ghannam, a student at the university, delivered a thank you speech to MU rector and all faculty members for their guidance and support during their study which ended up with this great achievement. 

A documentary film was shown, narrating the journey of the graduates since day one and reflecting their feelings for their achievements.

The sponsor of the ceremony, Riyadh Governor, then launched a number of projects and initiatives including the university new logo, hotel, petrol station and gym. 

Then, everyone watched a film highlighting the impact of AI as a modern field and one of the enabling factors to achieve the Kingdom's vision 2030.

The ceremony ended by awarding outstanding students with certificates of appreciation, handing a memorial gift to Riyadh Governor, Prince Faisal bin Bander and taking memorial photos with outstanding students.
