MU CELEBRATES THE FULL INSTITUTIONAL ACCREDITATION RENEWAL AND HONORS WINNERS OF THE RECTOR'S AWARD FOR QUALITY AND EXCELLENCE

Under the patronage and presence of MU Rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal, the Deanship of Development and Quality, held a special ceremony to celebrate three major achievements: the renewal of full institutional accreditation, the University Rector’s Award for Quality and Excellence, and the conclusion of the deanship’s work for the academic year 1446 AH. The event took place at the main auditorium in Majmaah and was attended by vice-rectors, deans of colleges and support deanships, department heads, faculty members, staff, and students.

The ceremony opened with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a detailed presentation from Dr. Fares Al-Fares, Dean of Development and Quality. In his presentation, Dr. Al-Fares highlighted the deanship’s major efforts, initiatives, and achievements. He explained the various stages the university went through to successfully renew its full institutional accreditation. He also shared updates on academic program accreditations, including those granted in 2024, programs upgraded to full accreditation, and those currently in process for 2025. He outlined the university's future plans for quality development.

Dr. Al-Fares also spoke about the deanship’s efforts in training the university staff and measuring user satisfaction through various surveys. He presented the results of these surveys, which helped in improving the services offered by the deanship.

Regarding the University Rector’s Award for Quality and Excellence, Dr. Al-Fares explained how the deanship evaluated the award process in the previous cycle and used those insights to improve the current cycle. 

MU Rector, Prof. Al-Mezal commended the Deanship of Development and Quality for its outstanding work which has led to significant accomplishments, not only in what was showcased during the event but also across various academic and administrative areas.

The ceremony concluded with honoring the committees that worked on the institutional accreditation standards, the academic programs that achieved accreditation during the current academic year, winners of the University Rector’s Award for Quality and Excellence, and the partners who played a vital role in supporting institutional and program-level initiatives.
