Out of the interest of Majmaah University and its continuous efforts in promoting citizenship, and the national values among community members, particularly students, faculty and staff, the Department of Media and public relations at the University has produced a movie entitled “Shades of Security” as part of its efforts in commemorating the 85th anniversary of the national day. The movie shows the conditions of fear, infighting and poverty that were rampant all over the country before its unity foundation at the hand of King Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud (God Bless His Soul). By Allah’s Grace and blessings, this unity brought about security, stability and affluence to the people. King Abdul-Aziz Al Saud laid down the Islamic Sharia law and the great values of Islam, such as justice, equality and tolerance. Since its foundation, the country became more secure, which in turn has contributed to the state of affluence and welfare the country has been enjoying for more than 8 decades. Saudi Arabia has turned since that time into a unified homeland that can protect sanctuaries and provide help for the needy. Therefore, it has become a good example of unity and Islamic values to the world. The film also contained a video clip entitled (My Passion for My Country) which was characterized by creativity and mastery of the production as well as the words in it that are derived from the values of citizenship and patriotism. The movie idea and screenplay were introduced and written by Mr. Naser Al-Yousif, Director of public relations and university media, then it was produced in collaboration with the Division of Majmaah Security Patrol, Majmaah Showing Group and Office of Tourism and Heritage in Majmaah. The movie has drawn great media attention, as it was shown on a few local channels.
