On behalf of His Highness the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Al-Angari, Chairman of the university board, His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren chaired the 4th meeting for the academic year 1434/1435 in the conference hall in his office. The meeting was attended by the General Secretary of Higher Education Dr. Mohammad Al-Saleh (via video conference), the university vice-rectors and deans of colleges and deanships. The university vice-rector for higher studies and academic research and the general secretary dr. Mohammad al-Shaya’a stated that His Highness the Rector congratulated the Medical College the achievement of the first position at the kingdom level for the 2nd and 3rd batch and the 3rd position for the 1st batch. Dr. Al-Mogren stressed the importance of proceeding with the same approach employed by the University beside doubling the efforts and exploiting the support provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
In the meeting a number of issues were discussed including the name of graduates for the first academic year 1434/1435, the future plan of the university education in Saudi Arabia (A’afaq), the approval of the internal training plan for staff and faculty members as well as those in comparable status, the approval of granting a last chance for dismissed students for the academic year 1434/1435 provided they complete the graduation requirements and the approval of appointing a number of faculty members in a number of fields in accordance with the University rules and regulations.
