Posted in 2025-12-23

As part of its commitment to promoting global health awareness, the Family, Childhood, and Community Health Center at the Social Responsibility Observatory, in collaboration with the University Health Care Facilities, organized an educational session on breast cancer awareness on the International Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

The session aligns with the university’s efforts to raise awareness about the importance of early detection in increasing recovery chances and prevention. The session was presented by Dr. Musaed Raizah, Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery and Consultant in Breast and Endocrine Tumor Surgery. It addressed key topics including the concept of breast cancer, the importance and methods of early detection, treatment approaches, clarifying common misconceptions about breast cancer, and the role of families and the community in supporting patients.

This workshop is part of a series of continuous awareness and educational programs offered by the Social Responsibility Observatory to engage the community and promote a culture of social responsibility.
