Eighth Meeting of Preparatory Committee for University Construction Projects

The Preparatory Committee for the University Construction Projects held its eighth meeting for the year 1436 AH on Wednesday, 27/10/1436 AH. The Vice Rector ,Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Musallam bin Mohammed Al-Dosari presided the meeting .The committee reviewed a busy agenda including such topics as briefing the committee on the letters of the Minister of Education regarding: 1. Awarding project bids by priority, 2. developing the mechanisms of following-up the implementation of projects, 3. Enhancing the role of supervising such implementation, 4. monitoring the quality and the safety of works implementation 5. the issue of risk management The Committee reviewed also the correspondence between the Chairman of the Urgent Buildings Committee and the contractors as well as consultants in AL Ghat and Hawtat Sudir regarding the necessary requirements to receive the projects. At the end of the meeting, the chairman of the committee discussed the proposals of creating a department for the Astronomy Observatory either in the new building of the college or in the lot allocated to it. The committee agreed to discuss the issue with the Astronomical Observatory Council.
