Represented of the Vice Rector Dr. Musallam bin Mohammed Al Dossari, University participated in the activities of the twenty-first preparatory meeting of the Committee of Chairmen of Universities and Educational Institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). This meeting was organized by Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University during the period 14 -15/2/1437 AH in Riyadh.
During this meeting, the recommendations of the topics scheduled on the agenda have been adopted for the presentation in the meeting. The most prominent of these topics are displaying the recommendations of the working committees which are including the Committee of the Deans of Admission and Registration, the Committee of Deans of community service, the Committee of Deans of E-Learning and Distance Learning, the committee of Following-up the Students With Special Needs, and the Committee of Following-up the Committees Working Together. The committee also discussed the recommendations have been taken for the voluntary work. The committee recommended to form a working group to propose frameworks and organizations for voluntary work in the universities and higher education institutions in the GCC countries. The committee also approved the awards regulations for the Committee of Chairmen of Universities and Educational Institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) ,
In this context, the Vice Rector said that the committee has assigned Majmaah University as a member of the proposed working team to provide a proposal about the frameworks and regulations of voluntary work in the universities and higher educational institutions in the GCC countries. He also pointed out that the committee has recommended for holding the meeting in Majmaah University in 2017, and assigning the university to organize the preparatory meeting for Vice Rectors and institutions of higher education and the third meeting of Twenty-First Preparatory Meeting of the Committee of Chairmen of Universities and Educational Institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
