- The Committee of University Safety and Security held its fifth and sixth session for the academic year 1435/1436 on 14/3/1436 under the chairmanship of His Excellency, the Vice Rector, Dr. Musalam bin Mohammed Al Dosari. The Committee reviewed a number of topics on the agenda of the meeting and recommended a number of recommendations were notably: -
- • First: Sending a copy from the telegram of Minister of Higher Education No. (30 997) and its date on 02/26/1436 AH regarding the application of safety instructions in tents, exhibitions and pavillions to the General Department University safety and security, the General Administration of Projects and Technical Affairs, Maintenance and Operation Department, the Department of Public Relations and University Media , Deanship of Student Affairs, and colleges to work accordingly.
- • Second: Sending notes that have been monitored in the Computer Sciences and Information Technology College and women's training building for General Department university Safety and Security for remedying them, and coordination with the relevant authorities for dealing with their own observations and remedying them.
- • Third, Re-circulating to the university sections about the importance of not making any modifications or renovations or additions may affect the safety of the buildings only after coordination with the relevant authorities.
- • Fourth: The General Department University Safety and Security with the participation of the University Environment and Occupational Health Department to work on the creating a vocational classification to functions of security and safety, and to be nucleus of proposal can be suggested to the fifth meeting of the University Rectorships who are responsible for the projects, maintenance and operations, security and safety.
- • Fifth: Assigning Dr. Mohammed Tharwat Azmi and Mr. AbduIlah al-Mutairi with participation of Dr. Amal Al-Otaibi to prepare a proposal for a standard student in the classroom and practical laboratory. This proposal can be proposed in the fifth or the sixth meeting of the Vice Rectorship who are responsible for university projects, maintenance and operations, security and safety.
- • Sixth: Contact the General Administration of Projects and Technical Affairs, the Committee of Urgent Buildings, maintenance and operation Department, and General Department of facilities and services to the need of existing special tanks for gas in the buildings that require tham , and they should be in accordance with the standards and specifications adopted in this regard.
- Seventh: Assigning maintenance and operation Department in coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure of existence maintenance and assurance contracts for gas tanks existing in buildings and facilities of the university, it should be taken into account the existence of the maintenance contract for all current and future gas tanks to ensure the safety of tanks and their own extensions.
- • Eighth: Contact General Directorate of Administrative and Financial Affairs to state whether there are any maintenance contracts, or guarantees for gas tanks in buildings and facilities of the university.
