In the presence of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid al-Muqren, vice-rectors, deans and managers, the annual celebration of Eid al-Adha was held by Majmaah University amid strict precautionary measures.

As part of the university’s efforts to fight the coronavirus pandemic, the faculty member in the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology at the College of Applied Medical Science, Dr. Wael Al-Turaiqi, has participated in publishing a research in a reputable journal.

After transporting students successfully during coronavirus pandemic, MU rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren, welcomed a number of the General Administration of Services staff led by the director general Mr. Moteb Al-Maymoni.

In the presence of vice-rectors, the director general of General Administration of Projects and Technical Affairs, Eng. Abdel Aziz Al-Shunaify, gave a presentation to MU rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren, about the projects currently underway at the main campus of Majmaah and Zulfi.

Under the patronage of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Mr.  Ahmed Bin Saleh Bin Majed, and the Dean of Institute of Studies and Consulting Services, Dr. Saad Al-Rushud, a graduation ceremony was held for diploma students of family counseling.

The Observatory Unit at the Astronomical Observatory in Hawtat Sudair has embarked on sighting Zul Hejjah crescent based on Um Al-Qura Calendar 1442.

The Deanship of Admission and Registration at MU announced the opening of admission for the academic year 1443 AH in all majors, from the period 24/11/1442 to 30/11/1442 AH.

MU scholarship-PhD candidate Dalal Al-Mutairi was awarded a dissertation fellowship from the Graduate Studies Office at the University of Texas, Arlington for the year 2021.

Under the patronage of MU rector Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren, and the director general of Saudi Human Resources Development Fund (SHRD), Mr. Turki Al-Jaawayni, an agreement with signed with SHRD at its headquarter in Riyadh.

A delegation of advisors from the National Center for Assessment and Academic Accreditation (NCAAA) headed by the executive director, Dr. Saleh Al-Ghamdi, visited MU to sign new contracts for conducting assessment of some academic programs: 6 undergraduates and 2 postgraduates.

In cooperation with the Saudi Orthopedic Association and the Indian Academy for Orthopedic, the Medical Learning Unit associated with the Clinical Affairs Vice-Dean’s Office at the College of Medicine is preparing to host a meeting entitled “Indian Experience of Biological Frames”.

With the participation of the committee assigned to prepare and implement the strategic plan, the General Administration of Strategic Planning completed the first report of the university third strategic plan 2020-2025.

The third meeting of the advisory board of University Pioneers Schools was conducted in the presence of the dean of Institute of Studies and Consulting Services, chairman and general supervisor of University Pioneers Schools, Dr. Sa’ad Al-Rushud, the dean of Community Service, Dr.

The vice-rector, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, conducted tours of inspection to various projects and facilities at the university campus in Majmaah and Hawtat Sudair.

At the request of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren, to serve the community and to provide self-development programs to students, the Deanship of Student Affairs launched an enrichment program “Ithra’a” for the academic year 2021.

A team from Majmaah University led by the faculty member at the College of Computer Science and Information, Ms. Lubna Al-Hanaki, won the third position in the world’s first Hackathon for the Nobel Qura’an.

As part of the university pursue to meet the requirements of the Kingdom’s vision 2030 and based on the approval of the minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al-Shaikh, a forum will be held entitled “The best practices of service work at Saudi universities during Corona pandemic”.

Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren, MU rector, commended what have been said by the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh, in the press conference held to discuss the major updates to the plan for the upcoming academic year and the mechanism of allowing students to go back to face-to-face classes.
