Overview

The Master of Arts program in Curriculum and Instruction at the Department of Educational Sciences is one of the graduate programs awarding a master's degree. The program commenced in the academic year ( 1439–1440 AH ) with the aim of enabling the holders of university degree to pursue higher education locally and to enhance their academic and research-wise  according to the society values and needs, as well as the standards of quality and academic accreditation. Additionally, it aims to enable researchers to identify modern trends in curriculum and instruction, also to contribute in scientific and applied studies in the field of curriculum and instruction that serve educational issues in the KSA, enhance its practices, and contribute to solving its problems.

Objectives

  1. Preparing qualified professionals who are capable of applying theories, concepts, and principles in curriculum and instruction field to address educational issues.
  2. Empowering researchers with knowledge of modern trends in curriculum and instruction field to develop educational solutions that serve individual and community issues.
  3. Establishing principles, work ethics and scientific research when dealing with issues and problems in the field of curriculum and instruction.
  4. Developing communication skills, creativity, research teamwork, and self-directed learning in the field of curriculum and instruction by using digital technology and information and communication technology.

Requirements

  1. The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree (on campus program) with a minimum overall grade of “Good”, or a “Very Good” grade or higher in major-related courses.
  2. Submission of the Graduate General Aptitude Test (GGAT) result.
  3. Successful completion of the department interview and the written exam (if applicable).
