Vision:

To be a distinct and pioneering unit in terms of providing, managing and developing counseling services for students.

Mission:

To provide integrated counseling services to students in the department to assist student in learning and dealing with the community.

Objectives:

1- Provide counseling services of all kinds to students of the department.

2- Develop and monitor the implementation and delivery of counseling programs.

نبذة عن القسم ونظام الدراسة فيه :

Overview about the department:

Teaching at the department focuses on general skills of learning English language. Students also take introduction to linguistics, English literature, literary criticism, and translation. The study plan of BA is a combination of all these courses which will enrich students’ knowledge and hone their linguistic skills. During early levels, there is a focus on teaching the four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, in addition to grammar before students study specialized courses.
