Future Plan of Higher Education ‘Afaq’

The recent global trends indicate that countries, in future, will increasingly will rely on quality of educational achievements and the investment in human resources. As an alternative to material resources, a global competition is expected to take place in the field of knowledge as a main force for economic development. Thus, it was necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to take the lead in the transition to be a knowledge economy.

Planning Department

- Follow-up the implementation of the university’s strategic plan - Provide technical support to the university’s units in preparing their strategic and operational plans - Write a strategic planning guide - Promote the culture of strategic planning among the university staff - Communicate with national universities to exchange experience in planning field.

Reports Department

- Prepare and follow-up reports (Afaq – university’s achievements – development plan) & submit them to concerned sectors. - Prepare special forms for operational plans’ reports of the university’s units. - Write a guide on strategies of preparing operational reports - Coordinate with other units to prepare the annual report

Strategic Plan

Majmaah University’s strategic plan is a frame of reference for determining the work plans and priorities by turning the university’s future vision and mission into a set of clear strategic and procedural goals. The strategic plan for 2020 was devised in collaboration with many partners to meet the national developmental requirements of higher education sector. The strategic plan comprises a methodology and schematic model of many stages.
