نشأة القسم
ترجع نشأة قسم العلوم التربوية إلى العام (1413ه) وذلك مع نشأة كلية التربية، وذلك تحت مسمى قسم مسمى التربية وعلم النفس، وهو من الأقسام الخدمية والمساندة للأقسام الأكاديمية بالكلية، حيث اختص القسم وقتها بتقديم مجموعة من المواد التربوية الخاصة بإعداد معلمات المرحلة الابتدائية على مستوى الأقسام، ومع تغير مسمى الكلية من إعداد المعلمات إلى كلية التربية، تغيرت أهداف القسم والمقررات التي تُدرّس به، ومع نشأة جامعة المجمعة عام (1431هـ) تم تغيير مسمى القسم إلى قسم العلوم التربوية، وأصبح يختص بتدريس عدد من المقررات في تخصصات: الفكر التربوي، وتاريخ التربية، وفلسفته وأصوله وتطوره، وفلسفة التربية المستمرة
About the Department
The Department of Educational Sciences was founded since the establishment of the College of Education in 1413 under the name of the Department of Education and Psychology.
The Support Service Department was concerned with providing educational materials for training primary school teachers in the departments.
With the change of the name of the college from the Teacher’s College to the College of Education, the objectives of the Department and the courses changed too.
