The Office of the Assistant Dean for Educational Affairs is responsible for providing all types of support to the Office of Vice-Dean of Common First Year to achieve its objectives. Realizing that students at the core of educational process, The Office of the Assistant Dean for Educational Affairs strives to improve the quality of academic programs by providing excellent educational services that enable students to both acquire knowledge and master different skills that he or she will need during study period.

About the Common First Year

The Office of the Dean of Common First Year at Majmaah University was founded in the academic year 1433/1434 with the aim of contributing to achieve the university’s vision and bridge the gap between high schools and higher education. The Common First Year Vice-Dean’s Office seeks to pave the way for new students in fields such as science, medicine, dentistry, applied medical science, engineering and computer science. Students will acquire all necessary skills in English language, basic sciences and computer.

تعد وكالة الشؤون التعليمية من اهم الركائز المهمة التي تساعد العمادة على النجاح في تحقيق اهدافها و القيام بوظيفتها الرئيسة و هي التعليم. و انطلاقا من ادراكها بأن الطالب هو محور العملية التعليمية فهي تسعى الى رفع جودة البرامج الاكايمية من خلال تقديم خدمات تعليمية متميزة تمكن الطالب من اكتساب المعارف و اتقان مختلف المهارات التي سيحتاجها الطالب في دراسته الجامعية. و الوكالة تحرص بدورها على تأسيس العمل بصورة مهنية مؤسسية تعزز ثقافة العمل بروح الفريق و تعزيز التطوير و الإبداع و الابتكار و المبادرة.

Study System

1. A student will attend two consecutive terms to complete the requirements of Common First Year

2. The timetable is fixed during the study period at Common First Year and students may not be able to add or drop courses.

3. Students do not need to register for every semester; they are considered registered according the study plan of the Common First Year.

4. In case of a student failed one of the Common First Year’s courses, he/she is allowed to retake that course in the upcoming semester.
