Mobile-Bus for e-Learning:

Majmaah University has been known for generating original innovations that meet the needs of community as well as help the university to undertake its role in this regard. The idea of having a mobile bus designed for offering e-learning classes was originated based on the dire need to educate residents in places located within the geographical area of the university. The idea is the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia as the bus has 15 computers connected to internet. The bus visits different locations e.g. school, public places.

Staff Training :

The Dean’s Office of E-Learning and Distance Education has recently provided high quality services. To maintain this level, it has striven to invariably develop its employees’ skills in various fields. The Department of Quality was assigned to undertake this task by providing training courses or workshops each semester. The training will be provided based on an e-survey filled out by staff to determine their needs of training.

Online Training:

In view of the high demand for training and the strong tendency on part of the Dean’s Office to ensure that a large number of beneficiaries are able to avail themselves of training, an initiative was launched by the Dean’s Office to promote the culture of online training to keep up with the growing number of using e-transactions and e-learning at the university. Moreover, there is a demand from faculty members and teaching-assistants to conduct online courses for the Dean’s Office of E-Learning.

E-Voting System

The Dean’s Office invariably strives to shift to e-transactions which is considered a primary goal for the university. Currently, the Dean’s Office is surveying the systems used in the university councils, e.g. departments, colleges, the university, departments under the university’s administration. These systems are expected to help in boosting the university works and decisions.
