- Set the strategic plan manual for the university units
- Enhance the concept of strategic planning among the university staff
- Communicate with local universities to exchange experience in the field of planning

To ensure that the department of strategic planning is the only reference that prepares and follows-up the strategic and operational plans of all units at the university with the best quality.
Mission:
- To ensure that strategic plans are implemented with excellence at the university.
- Review on constant basis the university’s vision, message and values.
- Follow-up the achievement of the university strategic plans that lead to the fulfillment the university’s vision.
- Follow-up the indicators and plans of the university’s strategic plans and Afaq Plan
- Enhance the strategic intellect and future outlook at the university
- Set out the action plan of the university’s strategic plan
1- To identify the needs of the university as a measure to make the proper decisions based on scientific methods.
2- To improve the means of coordination and cooperation with related sectors in attempt to achieve the objectives of the university and higher education as well as the objectives of the development.
3- To contribute in advancing the efficiency of higher education, inside and outside the university, as well as developing process at various levels.
The Department of Strategic Planning was established by Majmaah University Rector's resolution No. 1229, dated on 11/7/1436 to contribute in substance and value to the university's vision of leading the university to success in all fields, either academic or administrative.
