تعد الجامعات المندرجة ضمن منظومة مؤسسات التعليم العالي المحاضن الأساسية لدعم البحث العلمي وتطويره، ولا شك أن فائدة البحث العلمي وآثاره تمتد إلى جميع فئات المجتمع وشرائحه، ويتمثل ذلك في مفهوم "الشراكة المجتمعية" التي يسهم من خلالها كُلٌّ من الأفراد والمجتمع ومؤسساته بفاعلية في دعم البحوث والعلوم التي تحقق تنمية المجتمع وتطويره ، وحل مشكلاته وتعزيز قدراته وإمكاناته.

According to what has been said earlier and based on the system of higher education and universities council and the relevant regulations, a new set of regulations has been created for research chairs in Almajma'ah University. This set of regulations include thirteen articles.
The missions of the committee include approval of the following:
1. General plans and policies of the research chairs programs
2. Recommending establishment of research chairs
3. Assigning a job to the supervisors, professors and committees of the research chairs
4. Approving the contracts of consultants, researchers and visiting professors to the chair
5. Approving the yearly budget and the final expenses
1. The University Council has the right to interpret this set of regulations
2. The higher supervisory committee of research chairs develops the executive rules for these regulations in a manner that do not conflict with the articles
3. Everything will be subject to the systems, regulations and resolutions in effect in the university in the event nothing mentioned about it in this set of regulations.
The disbursement aspects of the chair budget include the following:
1. Researches and studies that are under the research chair program
2. Equipments, tools and requirements
3. Administrative operational expenses
4. Conferences, lectures and workshops
5. Salaries, allowances, rewards and attraction and distinction incentives
6. Publication, printing and media expenses, and the expenses of registering patents
