Department of Student Support and Alumni

Overview:
The Department of Student Support and Alumni is one of many departments within the Vice-Rector’s Office for Educational Affairs and is affiliated with planning, coordinating and following-up the services provided by all departments at the university to students at the colleges. The department is also concerned with the affairs and needs of alumni.
Vision:
To have students who are professionally and educationally excellent and to form effective partnership with alumni
Mission:
To collaborate with concerned departments to develop students’ skills and meet their needs both, professionally and educationally as well as establishing and enhancing the communication with alumni
General goal of the Unit :
Develop students’ skills and meet their professional, educational and psychological needs
Secondary goals of the Department :
1. Evaluate the services provided to students by the university departments
2. Determine the future needs for students in line with the university future vision
3. Identify students with disabilities and provide them with appropriate programs
4. Promote the culture of academic advising among students to solve their problems
5. Promote the culture of dialogue and student advisory councils and activate their role at the university level
6. Consolidate the relationship between the university and alumni on one hand, and the community institutions on the other hand, to achieve mutual benefits
7. Communicate on regular basis with alumni who were recruited and evaluate their job performance
