RENEWING ISO CERTIFICATION 2008-9001

The university has renewed its attainment of the ISO Certificate in quality management system (ISO 2008:9001) from the British Specifications institute (BSI) for the second year successively. This occurred following a visit by the external auditor to the University on Wednesday and Thursday 18-19/8/1437 Ah, which proved conformity of the approved samples.

The auditor first met with the University rector Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin in his office in the presence of Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmad Aromaih, Dean of Quality and Skills Development Dr. Mohamed El Aboudi, and the head on the Department of Quality Management Mr. Majed Al-menie. The University rector welcomed the guest and stressed that the aim of applying the Quality System at the University was the overall development of the Institution, not just the realization of the certificate. On the first day, the auditor visited the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development and College of Applied Medical Science. On the second, he went to the Academic Affairs Department and the Deanship of Admission and Registration.

At the end of the visit, the final meeting- chaired by the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs and representative of the University, Dr. Romaih was held where he reviewed the results of the external auditor and congratulated all on obtaining the ISO certificate, commending the quality of services provided by the University. The auditor, however, recommended the update of some procedures necessary for promotion to a more advanced ISO certification: 2015-9001. Afterwards, Dr. Romaih thanked the rector for his follow up and support as well as the Deanship of Quality and Development in addition to all relevant departments for the direct contribution to the certification attainment.
