THE ROLE OF THE COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES IN HAWAT SUDAIR IN COMMUNITY SERVICE

The College of Science and Humanities in Hawat Sudair, represented by the Community Service Unit, held a forum titled “College Role in Community Service” in cooperation with the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education, the College of Business Administration and Public Relations Unit.

The forum brought together community leaders, directors of government departments, social, cultural and sports centers in Sudair area for the purpose of cooperation and consultation regarding the provision of services to the community.

Attended by the Head of Hawtat Sudair Center, Mr. Fahad Al-Zakri, the event started with verses from the Holy Quran by the student Mohammed Siddiq. Then, the Dean of the College Dr. Tarek Al-Bahlal talked about the College role in community service and the available capabilities of qualified human resources and facilities that can help establish various community activities.

Considering that community service is a significant part of education, Dr. Fahad stressed that the college is willing to cooperate with the local community in all its sectors in providing quality initiatives serving the community and linking the college with the community of Sudair province.

Next, Dr. Adel Al-Meghzawi, Vice Dean of Community Services and Continuing Education spoke about the role of the University in community service. He praised the forum in terms of the initiative and its presentation, and stated that it was a qualitative initiative that contributed to community partnerships.

The heads of the scientific departments of the College explained the areas in which the departments could contribute to the community service.

All inquiries made by the community leaders such as the dean of the college and heads of departments were answered.

Later, the Unit distributed a questionnaire concerning the needs of the local community of activities and events, Which can be provided by the college, as well as a form expressing willingness to cooperate with the college in the field of community service.
