HIS HIGHNESS THE RECTOR REVIEWS A NUMBER OF REPORTS AND RECOMMENDS EARLY PREPARATIONS FOR UPCOMING ACADEMIC YEAR DURING THE CONSULTITATIVE MEETING

His Highness the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren chaired the in his office the consultative meeting with the University deputies, deans of colleges and deanships and directors of administrations.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Rector welcomed all members and congratulated them the end of this academic year with several achievements and success. He also mentioned that the underlying purpose of this meeting is exchange ideas and thoughts with critical issues related to the University and to be updated with academic and administrative issues in order to address the shortcomings and to enhance the positive side.

The Secretary of the meeting Dr. Waleed Al-Bishr reviewed the agenda of the meeting. The first topic focused on reviewing the recommendation of the last meeting with regard to the comment of the Rector's office about the interaction of the University staff with Project Management System.

After that, Dr. Hamad Al-Gumaizy, dean of student affairs reviewed the efforts of the deanship in establishing centers of selling curriculums in several locations of the university. Some of the members provided some suggestions that could support the project.

Dr. Mohammad Al-Jebreen, dean of faculty members and staff, talked about the mechanisms of renewing new contracts.

Dr. Mohammad Al-Salamah, dean of engineering college gave a presentation about a survey that was conducted for faculty members of engineering college about some aspects related to their work. The survey results gained the interests of all which will be of great value to the college.

A visual presentation was given about the participation of Majmaah University in the Fourth Exhibition and Conference of Higher Education held in Riyadh during the period from 6 to 9/ 1434. Another visual presentation was given about "e-present program". The program which deals with employees’ signing in and out via using a very accurate database has been programed by Saudi Staff from IT Deanship at Majmaah University.

Dr. Khalid Al-Shafi, dean of Science and Humanities College in Ghat, reviewed the efforts of the college in conducting a number of training and education courses for the various segments of the society. He emphasized the importance role of the college in serving the society in a way that is compatible with the objectives of the University and the approach of the Higher Education.  He also showed the number of courses, their kinds, targeted segments, number of participants and the level of success.

At the end of the meeting, the Rector stressed the importance of assessing and evaluating the colleges and deanships by deans, reviewing the achievements and presenting reports that include the obstacles and needs taken by every college or deanship to prepare for the next academic year. Some other issues were also discussed in the meeting. Finally, the Rector extended his thanks to all members for their presence.
