The Data Management Office held a workshop entitled: (How to apply data classification practices at the university) for specialists of business data at the university. The workshop highlighted the importance of data management, principles of data classification, and levels of data classification. It also elaborated the roles and tasks of business representatives and specialists, the data life cycle.
The director of the Data Management Office, Dr. Fayez Al-Harbi, reviewed two documents (National Data Governance Policy) and (Controls for Data Management and Governance and Personal Data Protection) issued by the National Data Management Office.
The Office also held a workshop entitled: (Introducing the Personal Data Protection System) for business data specialists at the university to introduce them to the personal data protection system, its importance, and the mechanism of its application.
Dr. Sultan Al-Asmari, highlighted the importance of personal data, the risks resulting from leaking personal data, and the cases in which data is disclosed in accordance with what is stated in the system. The importance of destroying data after using it was tackled. The workshop also addressed the important role of the business data specialist in applying personal data protection to the data.
