Within the framework of celebrating the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, the Cifal Center held the tenth meeting under the theme the role of professional management in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a focus on the "Project Management for Development Professionals" (PMD Pro) certificate provided by the PM4NGOs organization.
The meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by the Director of the Center, Dr. Ayman Al-Barakati, who highlighted the importance of cultural diversity and respect as one of the basic pillars for achieving sustainable development.
A group of experts and practitioners participated in the meeting including Mr. Edison Marinho, the Executive Director of the PM4NGOs organization, and Prof. Faisal Al-Mutairi, the General Supervisor of the Initiative to Promote the Concepts of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
Both presenters shared their experiences and visions on how the PMD Pro certificate enables professionals in the field of development to effectively manage projects and programs to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
The meeting also highlighted the unique challenges facing the development sector and how the PMD Pro certification provides individuals with the tools and competencies needed to overcome these challenges. The importance of professional management in improving the chances of success of development projects and enhancing local capabilities was also discussed.
It is worth noting that the Saudi Cifal Center is an international training center under the United Nations and was established in the Kingdom due to its pivotal role in the region and the world.
