Cifal Center conducts UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 Applications Expert Program in cooperation with NEOM

The Cifal Center conducted the "UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 Applications Expert" training program in the NEOM project, in partnership with NEOM. The program aims to qualify experts in the field of sustainable development to enhance the concepts included in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and achieve them by 2030.

The program addresses several topics, including the concept of sustainable development, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, designing initiatives within the framework of these goals, and how to measure and write sustainable development reports. The program also presents applied models for sustainability reports, reviews participants' initiatives, and understands how to align the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

Mr. Mahmoud Al-Harbi - Governor of Duba Governorate and UN Sustainable Development Goals Applications Expert - delivered an opening speech on day one in which he expressed the importance of the program and the effective role it can play in achieving the sustainable development goals.

Dr. Ayman Al-Barakati, Director of the Cifal Center, talked about the center, its goals, and its role in promoting sustainable development through partnerships with major development sectors such as NEOM.

Dr. Al-Barakati pointed out that this is the first implementation of the qualitative program in cooperation with NEOM, which seeks to qualify the first batch of experts in the applications of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The unlimited support that the center receives from MU Rector, Prof. Saleh Al-Mezal, and the Chairman of the Cifal Council, which contributes to achieving the ambitious goals of the center, added Dr. Al-Barakati.

It is worth noting that the trainees in the program are distinguished employees from various sectors of NEOM, which reflects NEOM's commitment to developing the skills of its staff and achieving sustainable development in the region.
