As part of the deanship of Graduate Studies’ attempts to explain the procedures of scholarships, the Deanship of Graduate Studies has organized a workshop titled “My Experience in Scholarship”, presented by Dr. Bandar Al-Hissan, a USA graduate. The Dean of Graduate Studies, Dr. Fahad Al-Jadou, opened the workshop by welcoming the audience and explaining the importance of graduate studies. He stressed that MU is willing to exert great efforts to help prepare its lecturers for excellence. Furthermore, Dr. Al-Jaou pointed out that the workshop came as part of the Deanship programs aimed at introducing scholarships and their procedures along with transferring the experience of some of its lecturers. Then, Dr. Bandar AL-Hissan talked about the way to choose the suitable state and city as well as the easiest way to search for language admission and the necessary procedures after such admission. Dr. Bandar elaborated the required preparations before travel and the respect of laws of such host countries as the United States. He also touched on the necessary steps that must be taken at the start of the language study program. Additionally, Dr. Bandar explained the easy ways of obtaining academic admission. Finally, he explained how to start study, providing suggestions and recommendations to the students to obtain their desired degrees. It is worth mentioning that the lecture was enriched with enquiries and participation by the audience, and that the deanship is seeking to hold another workshop for female lecturers soon.
