Under the patronage of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, a workshop was conducted to set the university third strategic plans under the theme “Reality and Prospect of MU in light of 2030 Vision”. Head of 3rd Strategic Planning Committee, Prof. Mohammed Al-Rukban, started the session by highlighting the goals of this workshop which mainly revolves around seeking staff’s perspectives on strength and weakness points of the university and their suggested feedback for improvement. Retrospectively, Prof. Al-Al-Rukban reviewed the essence of first and second strategic plans followed by highlighting the third strategic plan which rests on more flexible plans that adapt changes in future. Deputy-Head of the Committee, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, mentioned that within a short period of time, the university has achieved sustainable success as a result of the second strategic plan such earning the institutional academic accreditation. MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren addressed the audience with his gratitude for the exceptional work made by the working team of the strategic plans committee which resulted in unprecedented success in short time. Following the departure of MU Rector, Dr. Al-Mugren, the second session began by a talk for Prof. Al-Rukban who stated that participants in this workshop were invited based on their area of expertise. These areas are : graduate studies and scientific research, supported services, learning and teaching, partnership and social development and human & financial resources. The third session was moderated by Dr. Faisal Al-Mutairi who discussed the results of the workshop and the final recommendations made.
