VICE-RECTOR FOR ACADEMIC AFFAIRS CHAIRS QUALITY MANAGEMENT MEETING

The Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih chaired the second meeting of the Quality Management Department, which was held according to the 2008-9001 ISO standard in the Meeting Room at the Office of the University Rector. The meeting- attended by quality representatives of all units of the university- addressed the current quality system on campus and the inapplicable cases along with the observations of the first internal review stage at various departments of the University. Dr. Al-Rumaih stressed the need for issuing a comprehensive handbook and job descriptions of the high positions at the Departments that lack them. Dr. Majid Al-Menie- Supervisor of the Quality Department- spoke about the observations of the Review Team concerning the failure of a few departments to adhere to Quality System on campus, stressing the need for strict adherence to the quality standards for the development of performance in preparation for the upcoming visit by the External Audit Team.
