The Center for Special Needs Services conducts a Workshop on Evidence-Based Practices in Special Education

The Social Responsibility Observatory, represented by the Center for Special Needs Services, organized a workshop titled “Evidence-Based Practices in Special Education.” The workshop was delivered by Dr. Ashwaq  Al-Jasser, Assistant Professor, Department of Special Education and consultant at the Center.

The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the concept of evidence-based practices and their importance in improving educational and developmental outcomes in the field of special education. It also highlighted key models and experiences that have proven effective in supporting and empowering persons with disabilities.

The workshop explored how to apply these practices within educational environments to improve the efficiency of teachers and specialists and enhance learning and inclusion opportunities for this important group.

The workshop covered several main themes, including the definition of evidence-based practices and their importance in special education, steps for selecting appropriate practices, challenges in of implementation in educational settings, and practical examples of evidence-based interventions.

This workshop is part of a series of programs and activities held by the Center for Special Needs Services.
