Vice Dean for Student Affairs

General specialty:

Supervise student affairs including student activities, services, and academic counseling in coordination with the dean of the College.

Organizational association:

The Dean of the College.

Specialties:

1. Educate students about the university’s rules and regulations as well as its executive rules

2. Help students choose the appropriate major

3. Supervise the programs and activities conducted for new students at the college.

4. Supervise the services provided to students and improve them.

5. Establish the necessary procedures to control students’ attendance and follow up on their punctuality.

6. Create and update databases for students.

7. Provide college departments with the academic status of students 

8. Protect student’s rights 

9. Study students’ grievances and problems, and propose appropriate solutions in coordination  with the relevant authorities in the college and university.

10. Chair student case committees.

11. Chair disciplinary committees for violating students

12. Promote the culture of academic counseling in the college.

13. Propose a student counseling plan in the college and organize faculty members’ practice in coordination with the relevant authorities at the university.

 

1. Propose a plan for student activities at the college and supervise its implementation in coordination with the relevant authorities.

2. Follow up on scholarship students’ affairs.

3. Support alumni in seeking suitable jobs.

4. Follow up on alumni to determine the extent of job market employers’ satisfaction with the college’s outcomes.

5. Raise the efficiency of work in student affairs.

6. Propose the formation of committees.

7. Coordinate with the college deans and heads of academic departments to achieve the college’s goals.

8. Communicate with the corresponding academic and administrative units to perform its duties and achieve Vice-Dean's Office goals in coordination with the Dean of the College.

9. Prepare a comprehensive report on student affairs in the college and submit it to the dean of the college.

10. Undertake any task delegated by the college council or the dean.
