Install Office 2016 pro plus
MU provides students with a free download of Office 2016 on their personal PCs.
After login your email, you will see ‘install office’ option on the top right of the main page as illustrated blow:

Students can use Office 2016 pro plus on their PCs and sync between their computer and the cloud, by following these steps:
- Open one of Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, OneNote, OutLook)
- As you see the ‘Sign in’ box, type your email address and click ‘next’.
Features of the Service:
1. Tasks and Calendar services
2. 50 GB storage limit of mailbox for each student
3. The Office 365 allows you to change the theme of mailbox
4. The Office 365 allows you to access Office applications, including (One Drive)
5. Free download of Office 2013 pro plus which includes Word, Excel, Power Point , One Note, Access
Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Service:
The Deanship of Information Technology avails of Microsoft’s state-of-the-art technology in cloud computing ‘Azure’. The platform features virtual servers and database which can be used to transfer some of the university’s applications which are considered to be less sensitive.
Features of the platform:
1. Virtual servers on Microsoft Azure
2. Establish a link between the platform and the university’s network
3. Integration between the university’s systems and Microsoft Azure
4. Domain controllers sync with each other on Microsoft Azure
Overview of E-mail:
MU provides the students with a free access to Office 365 of Microsoft. The subscription to Office 365 allows students to get:
- 1 TB of One Drive cloud storage.
- Maximum attachment size
- Calendar to manage appointments
You can access the university email through the university e-portal or Outlook.
