Criteria of the Establishment of the Scientific Associations

1. Repetition and overlapping of associations affiliated to various universities in the Kingdom and other national bodies should be avoided.

2. The vision, message and objectives of the association should be clear.

3. The association should have a realistic perception of the resources as well as anticipated views of the private sector related to the field of specialization.

4. There should be a necessity for establishing the association

5. The association must be scientific and not vocational.

6. A detailed job description must be given to every staff.

Mission

1. To supervise directly on the scientific associations and their committees and boards.

2. To study and evaluate the transactions received from the scientific associations and then direct them to respect specialists.

3. To supervise the voting process of selecting the boards director.

4. To received suggestions from colleges and supported deanships to enhance quality of work for the scientific associations.

5. To set the general and specific criteria of establishing the scientific associations.

Objectives

- To facilitate the work of the scientific associations, serve their members and support their production and suggestions. - To provide administrative consultations with regard to the internal regulations of scientific associations. - To create an opportunity of communication between the scientific associations and university, academic institutions and professional bodies in accordance with the rules and regulations. - To support and develop the outcomes of scientific associations in their fields.

Vision: to make the administration of scientific associations one of the basic foundations for the development of the academic field at the university.Message: to provide consultations with regard to scientific associations, facilitate their accreditation and supervising the achievements of their objectives.
