انطلاقا من رؤية المملكة 2030 وتحقيقًا لمتطلبات سوق العمل أصدر سعادة رئيس الجامعة قرارًا بإنشاء قسم الشريعة ضمن قرار إنشاء كلية الشريعة والقانون بناء على موافقة مجلس شؤون الجامعات وكان ذلك مساهمة في بناء الوطن وتأهيل ميادين العمل بالكوادر المتميزة التي تخدم القطاعات الشرعية والعدلية والحقوقية وترسيخ الشريعة الإسلامية الصافية ونشرها بين أبناء الوطن على منهج الوسطية والاعتدال.

In line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and in attempt to achieve the requirements of the labor market, MU rector issued a decision to establish the Department of Sharia under the College of Sharia and Law. The department aims to contribute to meeting the demand of local market with qualified graduates that serve the Sharia, justice and legal sectors as well as establishing pure Islamic Sharia that is based on the approach of moderation.
