Department of Accounting held an induction meeting regarding the Company of Ernest and Young and its global approach concerning auditing works on Thursday, 25 /01/1435 H, from 10 am until 1:00 pm, where the meeting was held in honor of the Dean of the College Dr. Mohammed al-Jibreen. Thus, the guests of this meeting were both Mr.. Turki bin Abdul mohsen Allhaid, who has got the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA), and the American Fellowship for Certified Public Accountants (CPA), as well as Mr. Saad bin Mohammed Al Khathlan who has a master degree in accounting from the United States of America, and has got the American Fellowship for Certified Public Accountants (CPA). At the outset of the meeting, the Head of the Accounting Department welcomed the guests then the Dean of the College delivered a speech in which he welcomed the guests and praised this induction meeting, which in turn is reflected directly on the quality of the outputs of the college, which connects graduate students by the labor market. Then, the guests addressed at the meeting a general definition of Ernst & Young Company and its business, as well as the global and non-regional presence. Next, the guests presented a detailed explanation of the applicable auditing standards in the company as well as the followed working plan for application and the global review approach adapted by Ernst & Young Company. Also, the guests came through a developmental program for new graduates in the company, which includes training during job and attending training courses, in addition to providing support for the graduate to get a professional certification which enables him to improve in the area of the profession and to get higher grades in the office. At the last hour of the meeting, the guests opened the gate for graduate students to raise up questions, which focused on the future of graduates of the Accounting Department as well as career opportunities and how to prepare local and international professional certificates in accounting, as well as some technical questions concerning the application of some of the accounting and auditing standards in practice
