Department of Accounting hosts The Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA)

The Department of Accounting in the Business College in collaboration with The Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) arranged an introductory meeting about the Organization delivered by the Assistant-Secretary of Membership and Professional Development Dr. Muhammad Suleiman Al-Aqeel in the presence of the College Dean Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Jibrin, College Deputy of Academic Affairs Mr. Farris Saleh Al-Farris, College Deputy of Quality and Development Mr. Bandar Fahad Al-Harbi, Head of Accounting Department Jaber Ahmad Al-Jaber and a number of College Staff and students. Dr. Jaber Ahmad Al-Jaber, the Head of the Accounting Department, first welcomed and thanked the Organization representatives for coming in response to the department invitation. “We value the Organization’s constant collaboration with the College Department, such collaboration which serves the educational process and the general public” he said. Then Dr. Al-Jaber gave a short introduction about the Accounting Department, the number of graduate and undergraduate students and the effective role of the department in preparing students for the labor market demands. Dr. Al-Aqeel talked about the SOCPA, its purpose, the process of its establishment, its role and achievements in the field of accounting across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He then highlighted the fellowship Exam, its significance in the labor market, its dates, fees, process, the curricula needed for study and entry requirements. Then some staff and students expressed their views and asked questions about various topics related to the organization and further collaboration with the College Department. Dr. Al-Jibrin, at the end of the meeting, gave Dr. Al-Aqeel A memorial Shield as a sign of appreciation for his presence at the meeting. Then Dr. Al-Jibrin gave a concluding speech thanking the SOCPA for its continual cooperation with the Accounting Department that supports the Department students. He also appreciated the interaction of the attending students motivating them to attend and participate in such meetings because of their educational and social significance. Later on, the guest toured the Business College Departments with the College Deputy and Accounting Department Head, then he had lunch with the College Dean, Deputies and staff
